Harry and I are young couple living in the Lake District with our little dog Momo.
Due to injuries when he was younger Harry has chronic back pain and the only thing the physio suggested was to try yoga. Harry, being a man back in 2016, was nervous and asked me to join him for his first yoga session.
We went. We loved it. And we have practised yoga ever since!
I am also a working actress who wanted to make my other passion (yoga) into my career. So...Harry and I decided to fly off to Portugal back in 2019 for our 200hr Teacher Training Course.
Stride & Edge, whose name was inspired by the breaktaking passage 'Striding Edge' on Helvellyn, started the day we came back.
We have been teaching Vinyasa Yoga to local students in the Lake District but also students all around the UK through online classes and YouTube classes.
"I MUST ADMIT MY SURPRISE THAT YOGA IS MORE 'STRETCHING' THAN I THOUGHT. I TRY TO WORKOUT AROUND 8 HOURS A WEEK IN THE GYM BURNING OVER 5000 CALORIES. HOWEVER, THIS YOGA HAS ME SWEATING IN 10 MINUTES AND I NOW REALISE MUSCLES I NEVER KNEW I HAD!"
“I'm finding Stride & Edge's yoga classes beneficial for multiple reasons - dealing with the physical stresses of being sat down all day and it's really helping my mental wellbeing."
“YOUR SESSIONS AREN'T JUST HELPING ME MOVE IN DIFFERENT WAYS BUT IT GIVES ME SUCH A FOCUSED MIND. I DON'T THINK YOU REALISE HOW BENEFICIAL THE CLASSES ARE FOR PEOPLE'S WELL-BEING. SO THANK YOU AGAIN."
